Monkeys

Alyssa loves everything about monkeys. She wears her monkey shirt every chance she gets, walks around pretending to be a monkey, and now she has a new monkey best friend. I had been telling my boss how much I wanted some of those monkeys (his give-aways during work presentations) and he gave me 2 monkeys during our trip last week for the girls. I knew they would love them. Alyssa carries this little guy around with her everywhere and even sleeps with him at night.

"I Talking Mommy"

Kaylee loves everything about talking on the phone whether it be her pretend phones or the real thing. She will walk around having pretend conversations or chatting away to Grandma or whoever else happens to call. Last night, I snapped a couple of quick shots of her talking away. She wouldn't put the phone down because according to her "I talking, Mommy."

She is so very prissy. I painted her nails and toenails last night and she was all about showing off and telling her Grandma and Aunt all about it on the phone. I was trying to explain to her that she had to be careful not to touch anything and mess them up and she took me very seriously. After dinner (hours after painting her nails), I went to wipe her hands and she screamed,
"Watchee nails Mommy!!!"
At times like that no one can deny that she is just like her Mama!

Enjoying a day off....

A few pics of our little ham Alyssa. She couldn't wait to pose for pics yesterday.

Can you both look at the camera, at the same time, EVER??

Alyssa took over Riley's pacifier and bassinet. According to her, she is a baby too. :-)

Dancing

I love to get pictures of what the girls at daycare. I save the pics as my screensavers and they cheer me up instantly. It gives me an idea of what they are up to each day (while I am sitting here at work missing them!)

Here is a really cute picture of them dancing together.

Purses

Kaylee loves to carry purses. Last night on the way out to dinner, she decided that she wanted to take not one, but three purses with her. She had them all on her arm and when I asked what she was doing she said:

"I carrying my purses, Mommy. I soooo strong!"

She ended up taking just one purse into the restaurant (it took a lot of convincing!!) and loved showing it off to her grandparents and aunt and uncle.

We had a nice dinner at the Schezuan Garden to celebrate Uncle Rickey and Mommy's birthdays. The girls loved when they brought out the cakes and sang Happy Birthday. The best part was that everyone thought all the commotion was for the girls, which worked just fine for Mommy and Uncle Rickey!

I have found that birthdays seem to have lost some of their significance as I grow older (and older!) but seeing the excitement and joy on the girls faces brought just a little of that feeling back. Thanks K&A for making Mommy's birthday celebration that much more special.

Oh, and if anyone is wondering how old I will be this week.... I will be turning 25. And nobody better argue! :-)

Alyssa

I love this picture of Alyssa because I feel like it captures how gentle and sweet she is...

...when she isn't busy competing for the title of "Drama Queen of the Year!"

1 Week Old

Isn't she sweet?

"Daddy... I Need Money!"

Just a little snippet of conversation the other night that made me laugh:

Kaylee: (walks over to Daddy) "Daddy... I NEED money please."

Daddy: (looking a little confused) "You need money??"

Kaylee: (looking exasperated) "I need money puhleeeze."

Daddy: "Okay here you go." (pretends to hand her some money)

Mommy: "Where are you going Kaylee?"

Kaylee: "To the store"

Mommy: "How are you going to get there?"

Alyssa: (very enthusiastic) "I DRIVE YOU KAYEE"

They headed off to the store then and brought us back some goodies (toys) and then would head off again. It is neat to watch them start to play and develop their imaginations. The best of all though is to imagine them coming to Daddy as teenagers with their hands out saying "Daddy... I need some money."

Better get that wallet ready Daddy!!

Trick-Or-Treat...

Or as our little Bumblebee Kaylee chose to say "I WANT CANDY.... I WANT CANDY... I WANT CANDY!" Good thing she looked pretty cute in her costume so the total lack of manners just earned us a few chuckles and a basket full of candy that she was so crazy for! :-)

Luckily, that was only at a few houses and the girls had a great time trick-or-treating around the neighborhood with friends Jaiden, Alena, and Sean. In all, we had a Ladybug (Alyssa), Bumblebee (Kaylee), Pablo the Penguin, a Princess, and a Dinosaur. All of the kids were adorable and got baskets full of candy.

Here are a few pictures of our ladybug and bumblebee. Thanks Jamie for letting me steal some of the photos you took. The girls were a little uncooperative when I tried to take photos of them at home.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Welcome Riley Madison!

My brother and Evie welcomed their baby girl into the world on October 31st. They named her Riley Madison and she weighed in at around 7 pounds, 7.3 ounces. Congratulations Rickey and Evie. She is beautiful. And, I am soooo excited to be a "Titi" again.

Here are a few pics of the Halloween Baby.

PS - I sat in the hospital room for 9 hours patiently waiting for Riley to make her grand appearance but apparently she had other plans. She waited until a couple hours after her Aunt left to decide to come right on out. I am sorry to have missed her arrival but so glad that she is here and healthy (and spoiled already)!
