Hair Cut!

The girls finally agreed to cut their hair over the weekend. It is still pretty long but we cut off a good 5-6 inches. This has been an ongoing fight for months on end now in our house.

The girls said they had to keep their long hair because "princesses" had long hair and they were also afraid it would hurt. I would argue my point but they never wanted to listen. Turns out all I had to say was that it would make their hair more healthy if they trimmed it. Who would have guessed that would do the trick??

The bribe of a new Barbie doll didn't hurt either. :-)

Sad Face

Can I have more snacks mommy? Please... pretty please?

15 Months Old!

Happy 15 months little man!

The big question on everyone's mind these days seems to be "Is Aiden walking YET?"

The answer is... Kinda! You cruise around with your walker and will even take a few wobbly steps on your own before plopping down on the floor but that is about it so far. Daddy and I are convinced that this is all related to laziness as opposed to ability. Or, maybe you are just smart enough to realize that crawling gets you where you want to be a lot quicker. And where you want to be these days is normally exactly where you are not supposed to be! :-)

That's right... you have entered the stage of wanting to get into anything and everything you see. You gravitate towards cabinets, drawers, wires, outlets, cat food dishes, stairs, and worst of all... toliets! We found out about the last one the hard way! HaHa. You won't sit still long enough to read a book or even watch any of the shows that your sisters always loved at your age. You are constantly on the go and want to explore anything within your reach. The new tricks you are working on is reaching up to pull the cat water off the table so you can splash it it and trying to learn how to twist door knobs.... maybe to get to the toliet? :-)

You have learned quite a few words in the past month. Some of your favorites are Dada, Mama, Car (pronounced Cah - not sure where you got that particular accent from), ball, hi, nigh-nigh (for night-night), and your absolute favorite, MORE. You want more of everything that you eat and will scream MORE until you can't eat another bite. Seriously, almost everyone who is around you comments that they can't believe how much you eat. I think you eat more than both of your sisters combined!

You seem to get cuter every single day. I can't get enough of your little smiles and giggles and I would have to say your sisters agree. They love to try to pick you up, smother you in hugs and tickle you like crazy. You might want to consider going from crawling to running... I think that is the only way you stand a chance against those sisters of yours!

Lots of Love!

Got Milk?

Dear Uncle Rickey,

Mommy taught us to say our "prays" every night before we go to bed. We love to name all our family and friends and we always make sure to talk about you up in heaven. We really wish you could come back down to play with us but Mommy told us you can't do that... even though you would love to. We hope that you are happy up in heaven and that you are drinking lots of chocolate milk. You always shared your chocolate milk with us and it was our favorite. We ask Mommy for some all the time now.

Love,
Kaylee and Alyssa
(aka your little buddies)

P.S. - Did you catch the balloons and kisses we sent up to you?

Family Fun

It's been a while since I posted so I thought I would drop in to say hello.

We have had a busy few weeks. I was in Detroit for work and then took off a few days last week to hang out with the kids.

We spent plenty of time outside playing in the yard...

Found many different ways to entertain ourselves inside...

Let's torment the baby!

Let's try to look cute so you ignore the huge mess EVERYWHERE!

Celebrated Brendon's 8th birthday at Pump It Up. The kids had a blast!

Played outside a little more including a trip to Point Lookout where we had lunch, played on the playground, and splashed around in the water for a little while. As you can see, Alyssa was very excited for the road trip!

Celebrated our friend Ken's 6th birthday at Gilbert Run Park. The girls had a blast but I would have to say the thing they can't stop talking about are their new tattoos...

Aiden had fun playing house with Riley. Well, she played with the food...he preferred pulling her hair. Ouch!

Aiden practiced his walking a little but spent lots of time like this. He wasn't a huge fan of the grass either as you can tell.

And last but not least, the girls had fun in a way that wouldn't make Daddy so happy. In their words. "Aww! He looks like a pretty little girl!"
Aiden didn't seem to mind though!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Pool Time!

Aiden went swimming for the first time last week and he loved it! He wanted Daddy the whole time (which kinda hurt his Mama's feelings) but I guess Daddy is more entertaining!

The girls had fun as well and were showing off how they could swim with their Little Mermaid floaties.
