Christmas Eve

The girls started off their day with a fun party at daycare with their friends. They made rice krispie treats shaped like a christmas tree (yummy!) and had a gift exchange. The girls received really cute gifts for their new kitchen set that Santa brought them.

Then, they came home to have another party with Abuelo and Abuela and cousin Diego. The girls tried some traditional Puerto Rican Christmas food while Mommy ate lots of chips and dip. :-) They were really excited to receive their new tricycles...

And to play their cousin's video games....

It was a late night for the girls (10pm) and they were super tired. We talked about Santa coming right before bed and they were ready to wake up and see all their presents. Kaylee preferred the word "TOYS" as opposed to presents though.

I can't wait for the years to come when they truly understand and get really excited over Santa and Christmas morning. It brings back so many good childhood memories and we can't wait to create even more of our own.

Happy Holidays!!

My friend Lynne sent the girls beautiful Christmas dresses. We put them on last night and took a few photos in front of the tree. The girls were excited to get dressed up so we could share the photos with everyone.

It took lots of bribery with candy to get the girls to stay still and most of the pictures didn't turn out but I still think they look pretty cute. More importantly, they are silly and truly capture their personalities. And in Kaylee's words:

"Mommy, I gorgeous. I a princess."

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Kaylee and Alyssa send lots of love, hugs, and kisses to all their friends and family.

Isn't that the best time of day?

It's a BOY!

Yesterday we went for our 20 week sonogram. The baby was healthy and so busy. He didn't stop moving the entire time we were there. We were both expecting a girl so it was a great surprise to find out that we are actually having a baby BOY!

He was quite the little show off for us.

Doesn't it look like he is laughing in this picture?

I had to run out and get something "blue" to celebrate. I couldn't resist this bib because I knew how excited Tony was over finally having his little boy.

Kaylee and Alyssa were walking around saying that they were having a "Baby Brother." They took turns holding the sonogram pic to show him off.

I told Kaylee to smile for the camera but all I got is some very funny and at times scary faces. This was the best shot I could get.

They are going to be great big sisters and I can't wait to see the three of them playing together and becoming best friends.
Daddy thinks that he will have a built in protector and chaperon for the girls but I think he may be in for a surprise. I have a feeling that this little guy will be in a lot of trouble having these two for big sisters.
We can't wait for you to come join the fun baby. You are so loved already!

A Few (Blurry) Photos

...But better than nothing!

They both found a new love of black olives. They like to wear them on all their fingers and eat them one by one.

A&K were watching cartoons before bed and wanted Daddy to come lay down with them. It was dark so this pic came out very blurry but I think it is sweet to see Daddy and his girls relaxing together.

When I was pregnant with the twins, I was obsessed with taking a pic of my belly every single week. I guess it is true that things change with your second pregnancy because I barely find the time to take pics of myself or to even write in the new pregnancy journal I bought. In an attempt to do better, here is a very blurry shot of my belly at 20 weeks.
