Snow Day

We woke up Monday morning to about 6-7 inches of snow. The girls were so happy and I think Mommy and Daddy were equally excited to have an unexpected day off. We relaxed, played, and went outside to make snow angels and snow balls. We even got Daddy to try to build a snowman but the snow was just too powdery. Daddy isn't much of a snow kind of guy, having grown up on the beach, so I made sure to snap a shot of him playing with the girls in the snow. He later informed me that they could not possibly be his daughters if they liked to play in that "stuff." :-)

Soaking up the nice weather...

We had beautiful weather this weekend so we spent a lot of time letting the girls ride their bikes and run around the front yard. They had so much fun and protested quite loudly every time we made them come inside. :-) I have also figured out that Daddy needs to supervise them when it is time to ride their bikes. They have absolutely no fear and have quite a few bumps and scraps to prove it. I just close my eyes and pray for the best. HaHa.

Here are some pictures of them playing outside yesterday. I will admit that they are in pajamas and their shoes do not match one bit. They didn't seem to mind though.

Happy Birthday PaPa

This weekend we celebrated PaPa's 50th birthday. When asked how it felt to be turning 50, he said "It just feels like I am another day older."

The girls enjoyed spending time with family, singing Happy Birthday to Papa, eating lots of yummy food, and of course trying out the cake!

Happy Birthday PaPa!

Favorite Toys

Kaylee and Alyssa have new favorite toys. Is it a Barbie or a purse, you may ask? No, it is a dump truck and motorcycle that they stole from their cousins.

And even better, Daddy has Alyssa announcing that she is going to ride motorcycles when she grows up.

That would just be a dream come true for Mommy! :-)

I Love You More

We recently watched a cartoon where the characters were arguing over who loved who more. We hadn't realized how much the girls paid attention but they remembered the "I love you more" phrase from the cartoon and that is the new thing at our house.

Here is a conversation from the other night:

Alyssa: "I love you Daddy."
Daddy: "I love you too."
Alyssa: "I love you more!"

And after listening to them go back and forth a few times I decided to jump in:

Mommy: "No, I love you more!"
Alyssa: "I love you more."
Mommy: "I love you to the moon."
Alyssa: "I love you to the moon MORE!"

We have continued this conversation many times with both Kaylee and Alyssa and in many different ways. I guess the consensus is that there is a tie in our house with how much we love each other.

But, Mommy still thinks I win!!

I love you girls. More and more everyday!

Dresses

Kaylee and Alyssa just LOVE wearing dresses. They normally give Daddy a hard time getting dressed in the morning before daycare if they don't like their outfits but they never do when they see that they get to wear their pretty dresses. Of course, they don't mind running right into the dirt while wearing those pretty dresses either!

Little Performers

So, it seems we have a future singer and cheerleader in the family.

Hopefully they are a bit more talented than Mommy in those areas!
